Experience:
Alison Erlenbach has a BA in economics from the University of Florida. After graduating in 2009, Alison relocated to southwest Florida, where she works full time as the president of Campus
Climate Solutions, Campus Climate Solutions is a company dedicated to promoting sustainability through green training and strategic sustainability consulting services. Alison founded Campus Climate Solutions in 2008 during her senior year. The company has won several awards, including the 2009 University of Florida Sustainable Solutions Bright Idea Award for best new idea for advancing sustainability on campus, first place in the 2009 University of Florida Entrepreneurship Club Venture Pitch Competition, and the 2008 international oikos Campus Sustainability Award in the Curricula Change category, which recognizes an outstanding student driven project in the field of higher education for Sustainable Development.
In 2006, Alison co-founded and served as treasurer of Gators for a Sustainable Campus (GSC), a grassroots, action-oriented student organization created to help University of Florida students contribute to economic, social, and environmental sustainability. GSC is now the University of Florida’s largest and most successful student sustainability organization. Alison served as the groups’ president during the 2007-2008 school year, during which time UF’s Center for Leadership and Service’s named GSC the year’s “Best New Student Organization.” In various capacities, Alison worked with other GSC members to educate and engage UF students in social, economic and environmental sustainability issues on campus and in the community while building a large and diverse organization of 75+ dedicated members
While at UF, Alison also served as an intern for the University of Florida’s Office of Sustainability from 2006 to 2009. She completed a wide variety of tasks through this role, including acting as the sole undergraduate member of UF’s Carbon Neutrality task force, and assisting with UF’s Greenhouse Gas Inventory by obtaining emissions data from university departments and vendors and calculating the resulting carbon footprint. Among the numerous projects she participated in as an intern, she most enjoyed giving presentations on student sustainability initiatives for conferences, events, classes and forums on and off campus. As a 2008 National Wildlife Federation Campus Ecology Fellow, Alison successfully campaigned for a student renewable energy fee to invest in renewable energy to power UF’s campus. During her fellowship she also organized movie screenings, a music festival, on-campus speakers, and other events to raise awareness about climate change and solutions at UF and in the surrounding community.

- Acted as lead in a project with owner of 5 private career colleges in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia to develop, accredit and implement 2-4 degree programs that prepare students for green jobs; Worked on
- all stages of curriculum development from initial research to accreditation process.
