Jen was behind many successful merchandising efforts as an undergrad at SDSU and now wishes to help other student organizations find sustainable and cost effective merchandising strategies.

History:

I began to realize how much waste surrounded the life of a college student and wanted to help inform my peers by introducing new products and habits that could help us leave less of an impact on our campus and the environment. I got involved with the Enviro-Business Society at SDSU after attending their Earth Day event. I believed in their Mission and became the VP of Merchandise and Sponsorship. I became more informed to environmental issues and began to help the organization make a positive impact on campus. I want to pass that experience on. I believe we have many opportunities throughout each day to make positive Eco-conscious decisions and purchasing choices that will decrease our carbon footprint and increase our standards of sustainable living. If we lead by example, as if these choices are the norm; share are knowledge and maintain our efforts, soon they will be.

If we become self sustainable and self aware of the choices we make as individuals each day and prepare for them with a “Green Conscience”, we WILL decrease our impact. It starts with SELF-Sustainability!”
